Used Smart Crossblade

In 2003, Smart decided to release the Crossblade, and if there is one thing people should realize about this “small but terrible” vehicle, it is the fact that this car is not for the faint of heart. With no windscreen, no doors, and no roof, several Brits have dubbed this car to have brought them nothing but extreme adventure and extreme fun. The Crossblade is open to all the elements on the road and comes in just left-hand-drive. This is a great car to have if you live in that portion of the world where you experience good weather all year round. There are times when its sequential transmission can become a little jerky, requiring a little work on your part, just to get it into reasonable acceleration. Its 70 bhp engine has a top speed of just 84 mph. but it is fast enough to reach 60 mph from dead 0 in 16.5 seconds. Goggles can be a necessity for you might have to contend with insects and loose stones. Its lack of a roof, however, gives gravity a lower centre, thereby giving you a more secure drive when making tight corners on the freeway. Also, the absence of a roof presents no problems with headroom at all. Equipment-wise, you get drawers conveniently situated under the seats that you can use for minor storage space. You also get a tonneau to keep your litter off of your seats. The seats themselves are waterproof, as well as the dashboard and the tonneau. Moreover, standard equipment includes airbags for both driver and passengers, ESP, ABS, traction control, a heater, and a radio/CD player – in spite of the fact that this player is practically inaudible once you go over 30 mph. Behind the wheel, you would actually need to secure your door bars in so that your engine would start. Forward visibility obviously presents no problem at all due to the lack of a windshield. This, however, presents a problem when driving the car backwards because the absence of a windshield also means the absence of a rearview mirror. Parking into those tight spaces can become a bit restricting with the used Smart Crossblade here. Still, in spite of the seemingly questionable structure, stability control is quite impressive because of its excellent crash performance. The Crossblade does sport an engine immobiliser for security purposes. But you should never leave your Crossblade out in the open street because being exposed to all possible elements can be damaging to a vehicle that does not sport doors, a roof, or a windscreen.
